Jumping and Rough Play
Jumping and Rough Play The following sound familiar? "Okay when my dog jumps on me when I at home after work, but he jumped on my clients, and he jumped on me after he arrived in the rain and its paws are muddy! How do I teach him when he is and is not OK to skip? "Or how about this one ..." Sometimes I like to play with my dog rough, but sometimes I want to play without problems, and bites and PIN! E 'also embarrassing when you play too rough with other dogs to the park and the dog yelp in pain. How can I teach him when it is OK to play rough, and when you should play softer? "The answer: it is not possible. Dogs are not human beings as thinking creatures. They do not understand "sometimes" and "maybe"? they do "always" and "never"! If you let your dog jump on you when you walk in the door, and reward the problem with love hugs and enthusiastic tone of voice, you tell your dog is OK to go to anyone anywhere, for any reason. Period. This includes your guests or after the arrival of rain in the mud with his legs, or because you have something you want? as a plate food. The same with rough play? Dogs must be taught so far being played. Otherwise, they do not know the consequences of your mouth or bite too hard. If you let your dog play rough with you (lots of scruffing Project, pushing, biting, and spanking) is to teach your dog to play, period. If your dog has not leaed the limits of your hand, as respects the limits of other people or dogs (or your own limits constantly changing)? Remember: Dogs do not understand the situation and the exceptions to the rule. If you do not want your dog to jump or play rough sometimes, we must teach them to jump and play MAI rough.Daniel Collinsworth Other articles of dog training can be found here: Basic training for dogs
