You will find that your pet is tender for at least the first 2 weeks after surgery. Normal operation, jumping gait can take up to 2 months to retu. There is a chance all the precautions, post-operative lameness problems may persist even after the patient has healed from surgery. Home Care Some tips: * Keep your pets normal food and water in a small, easily accessible to avoid obstacles. * Line the litter pan (s) with strips of newspaper instead of litter (do it for a week at least.) You can expect: * Some lameness up to 2 weeks. * Hesitation jump. * Some light crust on the edge of your foot. Please include: A 3-legged animal to walk until the end of the continuation of a leg. * A cat acting very tired and lethargic is refusing to move. * A cat does not eat. * A cat licks a persistent increase in the legs. * A cat with drainage or bleeding from the legs.
